car speakers

Car speakers have come a long way since I was a kid. We used to travel frequently back and forth across New York State. My grandparents were ailing, and I was just a pre-teen at the time. I think that's about the time that stereo car speakers were just beginning to make their appearance in newer automobiles. I can remember riding around in mom's Subaru and listening to the mono car speakers. The radio was pretty clear, but you could only hear it in car speakers that had one tone. Then, a couple of years down the road, my dad bought a Jeep Cherokee. That was the first automobile we had with car speakers that had stereo sound and the ability to change the levels. Back then, there were only two levels, though. Car speakers didn't have mid-levels yet, just bass and treble. It was the Jeep that we drove back and forth in for all of those trips. It was much more enjoyable to listen to the radio on those car speakers. I would use the car speakers when I cleaned the car for my dad, as well. It was another time that I got to enjoy the new sound of music that technology was producing. Today, my minivan has car speakers that sound amazingly clear! I have three levels I can work with, and music sounds better than ever! My husband and I enjoy debating if the car speakers sound better with more mid-level tones, or with more bass and treble. I guess I'm just old fashioned, because I like the sound with less mid-level, a little more bass, and a little less treble.
