Car Speakers Are Great When You Haven't Blown Them |

I was just thinking of my first car, a 1988 Toyota Camry, which I got when I was 20. Now it wasn't bad, in fact, I love Toyotas, they're great cars and believe it or not, they have really good factory installed stereos. I never bothered to change the car speakers out though, because I just had an AM/FM radio, nothing more. I drove the car for seven and a half years, so in later years; it became legendary for a variety of reason. Most notably were the car speakers. You see, slowly and one by one, the car speakers blew out. I started out with four car speakers when we bought the car, and when I traded it in, I was down to one.
It was pretty funny, there was one summer day when a bunch of my friends crammed into the car and we went in search of a DQ. This was before any of the car speakers had blown, though. I cycled through all my preset radio stations and there was nothing on, just commercials. So we decided to use the seek button to try to find something to listen to. We all laughed because it cycled through every single FM radio station in Chicago at least twice before we found one that wasn't playing commercials. All the while, all the windows were down and I was cruising along. I still laugh thinking about that day. Of course, I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if some of the car speakers weren't working. I'm sure that would have made for an even funnier story.
