Portable DVD Player
I was trying to figure out how to thank my neighbor for everything his family has done for us. They are unusually kind and considerate and have gone out of their way to not just help us but all of our neighbors. Then they will not accept anything but a thank you from any of us. They will not even let us pay for our own coffees when he goes on a coffee run.
I have come up with an underhanded way of showing my appreciation. I am going to give his kids a portable DVD player as a gift. It is not going to their Dad, but is an actual gift for them. I think it is a good way to get around their reluctance to accept anything from us. I also know a portable DVD player is something they could use. They are always taking their kids out on special trips in their van. I noticed that they did not have a portable DVD player. Some of the trips to the amusement parks, water parks and other placed are more than an hour. A portable DVD player would make those trips a little more fun. Not as much fun as the destination, but still fun.
