It's time for me to admit that until Christmas this past year, I had never heard of a portable DVD player, much less used one, but they are a Godsend. For years we have been driving across country at Christmas and for years the boys have fought like cats and dogs for pretty much every waking moment of the trip. Granted there are moments when they aren’t fighting, but that is usually the moments that they happen to be eating.
About three weeks before our trip, I was talking to my best friends and I commented on how I wasn’t looking forward to the trip, because the boys seemed to fight more and more each year. She suggested that I get a portable DVD player and take it with us. I asked her what it was, since I’d never heard of it, and she explained that it would allow the boys to watch movies while we were traveling, which should keep them from fighting. She showed me a great place online to get the portable DVD player and when I got home that day I ordered one. We used the portable DVD player on our trip, and the boys didn’t fight for the first time ever. What a difference that made!
